Der Plastikmüll muss so schnell wie möglich aus dem Meer entfernt werden, also bevor er durch die Brandung und die Reibung im Sand zu Mikroplastik zerkleinert wird und in die Nahrungskette gelangt. Wir fischen den Müll heraus und verwenden in Zusammenarbeit mit der Winder Recycling Company in Davao etwa 30 Kilogramm Meeresmüll (in der Regel acht Säcke), um robuste und langlebige Schulstühle zu bauen, die ideal an das tropische Klima angepasst sind, da die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit Stühle aus billigem Holz schnell abnutzt.
