Jeder Baum ist ein Gewinn. Mama Earth sponsert Gruppen mit Setzlingen aus der eigenen Baumschule. Im August pflanzte zum Beispiel unter anderem die Gruppe „Wild Camp Adventure“ Bäume in Baganihan, Marilog, Davao District. Nach der ersten Nacht in den Wäldern von Mindanao steht das Pflanzen von Bäumen für diese Gruppe immer auf der Tagesordnung.
Die gepflanzten Bäume werden auch von der Gruppe gepflegt, denn – wie Nomaden – kehren sie stets an die Orte zurück, die sie einmal besucht haben. Wir freuen uns, mit dieser Gruppe zusammenarbeiten zu können, und hoffen, dass sich Hunderte von Bäumen in den nächsten Jahren zu Tausenden vermehren werden.
Wer uns besucht, kann außerdem den höchsten und markantesten Berg der Philippinen, den Mount Apo, erklimmen. Mit 2.954 Metern (9.692 Fuß) ist er beeindruckend und liegt zwischen Davao City und Davao del Sur in der Davao Region sowie Cotabato in Soccsksargen.
